My client, an established Accountancy Practice based in Belfast City Centre are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Bureau, managing payroll for approximately 80 clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Manage weekly and monthly payroll for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Payroll Processing using Sage 50 Payroll
  • HMRC RTI Submissions: Handle Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC.
  • Statutory Payments: Calculate Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), and holiday entitlements.
  • Pension Administration: Liaise with various pension providers and ensure workplace pension compliance.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional service to clients, addressing payroll-related queries and issues promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HMRC regulations. Proficiency in SSP, SMP, and holiday calculations.
  • Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively.
