Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for an Estimator for a leading supplier in the building industry.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within the shopfitting or POS industry.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience within the
shopfitting or POS industry
is essential
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software. (experience with Autodesk AutoCAD LT preferable not essential)
- Knowledge and good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Driving licence and own transport preferable
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost and component breakdowns from drawings or text descriptions
- Conversing with clients to understand their needs and expectations in order to obtain the brief and create quotations
- Work closely with the construction teams to ensure that projects are executed according to plan
- Prepare health and safety documents (RAMS) for projects where they are carrying out site services
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with company standards and safety regulations
