Senior Producer - Assets - In House Creative Studio

We are looking for an experienced, driven, and expert planner with a background in Agile. You will oversee and manage Asset focused Feature Teams that are focused on delivering features from a prioritised backlog, covering large areas of the game, and guiding the teams through and championing Agile practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has an excellent understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban, and sets the standard, champions, and drives the implementation of Agile practices.
  • Leads a significant part of project management, managing multiple Asset Feature Teams.
  • Responsible for overall development strategy and roadmap, of the Feature Teams they oversee and manage.
  • Collaborate with Lead Technical Producer & Development Director to determine the most suitable agile approach for their Feature Teams.
  • Accountable for the discipline, consistency, and quality of output of the Feature Teams that they are overseeing, including all the work produced for key milestones.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned Feature Team(s) through effectively utilising project management tools to ensure deliverables are achieved to the expected quality each sprint/milestone.
  • Drives team focus each sprint/milestone through a continuously refined and prioritised product backlog.
  • Responsible for managing and controlling the scope vs capacity of their feature teams and identifying outsource opportunities in collaboration with the Principal Producer.
  • Facilitate and coach the breaking down of work into manageable tasks collaboratively with colleagues and ensures tasks are prioritised, refined and estimated against.
  • Owns the Risk Register for all Features Teams they manage, effectively reports on risk, and works collaboratively with the Development Director to mitigate risk where possible.
  • Effectively manages the bug triage process and demonstrates an understanding of the QA workflow.
  • Responsible for collating and presenting valuable metrics to key stakeholders (Development Director and Studio Development Director) on an agreed cadence to effectively report on progress, risk, and opportunities.

KEY SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS:

  • Pro-active approach, actively seeking to make improvements, whether that's refining processes, risk management, or personal growth.
  • Excellent knowledge of JIRA, and the use of JQL, Rich Filters, workflows, backlogs, and reporting.
  • Experience with traditional Waterfall production management techniques along with Agile techniques, including SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail, process knowledge and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel), Jira, Confluence and other project tracking and bug database software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across product development and management teams.
  • Experience working with high performing creative teams and demonstrated ability to partner effectively in a high pressure, collaborative environment.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

  • Minimum of five years of games industry experience in an internal development environment in a production role.
  • At least one shipped PC and/or console title as a Senior Producer.

ADDITIONAL OR DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience with Shotgrid (Autodesk Flow Production Tracking).
  • Experience on multiple large scale, 150+ person AAA games through all phases of production from concept to release.
