South Wales Children's Social Worker roles
Requirements of you as
the Social Worker:
- You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and the right to work in the UK with experience (no VISA sponsorship)
- Social Work England registration
- A full UK driving licence
- DBS clearance
Intake Team
- Permanent applications (salary range £39, 834 - £48,421 including £5,000 annual enhancement) Full time equivalent qualified social workers (hours could be split if you have part time workers). This role includes responsibility for initial child protection and court work, before transfer to longer-term teams.
- Permanent applications only (salary range £49,428 - £52, 420 including £5,000 annual enhancement) Full time Practitioner Managers aka senior practitioners/assistant team managers.
Family Support Team
- Permanent applications **(salary range £39, 834 - £48,421 including £5,000 annual enhancement)**Full time equivalent qualified social workers (hours could be split if you have part time workers). This role includes responsibility for child protection and court work.
- Permanent applications only (salary range £49,428 - £52, 420 including £5,000 annual enhancement) Full time Practitioner Manager aka senior practitioners/assistant team manager. This role holds responsibility for a reduced number of children, including those subject to child protection or care proceedings, as well as supervision of staff.
- Permanent applications only (salary range £53, 474 - £56,515 including £5,000 annual enhancement) Full time Team manager (must have at least 2 years post qualifying management/supervisory experience)
Child Health and Disability Team
- Permanent applications only (salary range £34,834 - £43,421). full time equivalent qualified social worker. Candidates must have experience of supporting children with disabilities.
14 + Team
- Permanent applications only (salary range £34,834 - £43,421). Full time equivalent qualified social worker.
