About you:?

You are an experienced Technical Author with a passion for creating clear, user-friendly documentation that enhances the customer experience. Your background in producing and managing technical content within a software environment has equipped you with the skills to translate complex information into accessible guides and articles. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You excel at organizing and prioritising your workload, and you're eager to contribute to a culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and inclusivity. Your communication skills, combined with your attention to detail, enable you to deliver high-quality content that supports both internal and external users. This role will be responsible for producing and maintaining documentation and knowledge centre articles for the LG software suite, across Children & Young People, Social Care and Finance.

Day-to-day, you will:?

  • Writing, editing and maintaining easy to understand user guides and help centre articles, based on user-stories, sprint review demonstrations and interaction with other teams involved with the software (covering Product & Engineering, Projects and Support)
  • Participating in the ongoing planning and prioritisation of workload, including stakeholder engagement
  • Editing, standardising and formatting documentation written by others
  • Developing and maintaining templates, processes, and standards for customer-facing documents / articles

Your skills and experiences might also include:??

  • Proven experience in writing and managing technical documentation within a software environment, with a strong command of English and excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, translate them into clear and concise user guides, and maintain consistency and standards across documentation.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, with the capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all deliverables.
  • Awareness of WCAG standards and requirements is desirable
