Our client is a leading design and manufacturer of full turnkey projects for food processing & packaging machinery. With a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for Electrical and Mechanical Fitters to join their expanding team. These roles will be the main component of manufacturing, assembling machinery of all shapes and sizes.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Working in a team of around 10 engineers
  • Assembly and fitting of mechanical or electrical components (depending on position)
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met
  • Collaborating with fabricators, other fitters and design teams when requires
  • Installation of wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, motors, gearboxes and more

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ year in a past fitter role in automation and/or 4+ years in another fitter role
  • Experience in reading engineering/technical drawings
  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Experience with pneumatics, motors, hydraulics and bearings (if mechanical)
  • Experience with panel wiring/electrical installation (if electrical fitter)

Good to have:

  • Engineering qualifications in either discipline
  • Experience in an installation team
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Experience doing risk assessments
