Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper - Liverpool City Centre

6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Up to £35,000 DOE

I am delighted to be exclusively partnered with a professional services firm based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. This company boasts an impressive growth model, year on year expansion and beautiful modern offices. A newly appointed Senior Finance contact is in need of an Assistant Accountant on an interim basis to help streamline the finance function. This will be a hands-on, collaborative role - a role in which you can be exposed to a great deal in a short space of time.

You will be appointed on a 6 month basis, but the opportunities could be longer-term for the right Assistant Accountant.

Key duties of this role will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • High use of Excel
  • Cashbook processing and analysis (any treasury experience would be extremely beneficial)
  • Daily banking
  • Reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Supporting the Financial Controller

In order to be considered for this role you will:

  • Be at an advanced level on Excel - this is critical for this role, my client is in need of somebody confident with Pivot Tables etc.
  • Have experience in a similar role
  • Be available to start within circa 3 weeks
