Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working with a growing waste management company in Doncaster as they look to recruit a temporary Finance Manager to cover maternity leave with a period of handover before and after. Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Finance Manager (15-18 month FTC) located in Doncaster.

Duties & Responsibilities of Finance Manager:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, working alongside other departments and stakeholders.

  • Looking to make improvements/efficiencies to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests; working alongside IT to test any projects/improvements.
  • Working alongside the Purchase Ledger Supervisor & Credit Manager to review creditors
  • Conducting interviews and leading team recruitment Managing/processing overheads/DD/unallocated cash
  • Supporting with new system implementation
  • Signing high value credits and reviewing the errors in regard to credits
  • Pulling payment reports to review cashflow with the Finance Director
  • Journals, accruals & prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Mentor the Management Accountant to take on more month end responsibility
  • Assist the Finance Director with the month end management account preparation
  • Authorising and processing weekly payment runs

Essential Attributes of successful Finance Manager:

  • Have strong Excel and systems skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, energetic and fast paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills including ability to communication at all levels
  • Must have proven background in supervising and leading a team
  • Strong background in a similar Finance Manager role
  • AAT qualified or QBE
  • Strong ability to mentor, coach and motivate a team
  • Confident in making improvements and suggestions to processes and procedures
