About the role

We are seeking an Editorial Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for editing and refining content, ensuring a meticulous level of detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the team, possessing strong administration and data processing skills to provide support with writing tasks.

This role will process, create and manage content and image files for use in the Barbour service, ensuring content currency and correctness. To identify and acquire new and linked third party document content. To develop a knowledge of information and content providers relevant to the Barbour offerings. Employment of the most effective processes to ensure the timely and comprehensive management of content. Processing content to an agreed standard. Interpret legislative changes and tag Barbour content to reflect these changes.

Key Duties:

  • To input Barbour content to the CMS compromising of a variety of types and will require formatting and processing in accordance with the content type.
  • To identify new and/or amended document content for inclusion. Working with predefined publisher content and to a schedule regarding the frequency of content sourcing.
  • To identify amended content and ensure the correct tagging of CMS records with this data.
  • Monitor information/content sources using the most effective processes.
  • Develop a knowledge of information sources relevant to the Barbour service topic options.
  • The review of existing document content, making changes as necessary.
  • To ensure watermarks are applied to pdf images assigned to specific IPs.
  • To interpret copyright statuses applied to content and ensure compliance.
  • To input data onto the database and amend existing data, as required.
  • To develop a good understanding of Barbour content formatting, a bespoke CMS and associated processes.

What you will need:

Essential

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A good level of English, both written and verbal
  • Happy to work to deadlines.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Problem identification and solving skills.
  • Keen to develop a knowledge of the health, safety and environment sectors and an understanding of the related legislative and content requirements.

Desired

  • Previous experience of using a CMS would be beneficial.
