Weighbridge Operator/Supervisor Required – Permanent role
We are recruiting for a weighbridge operator/supervisor for our client, based in Plymouth City Centre.
This is a permanent role, starting as soon as possible, and has a pay rate of £14.00 per hour.
Your hours of work will be 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive. May also be required to work on Saturday mornings to meet the needs of the business. Normal Saturday hours are 8.00 am to 11.30 am
The Role :
You will be responsible for assisting in the administration of all aspects of depot activities and oversee all facets of weighbridge operations when needed. This involves recording all materials in and out of the site and data entry. In addition, you will also supervise site employees to ensure the site is operating safely at all times and within the guidelines of company policies and procedures when required.
This is a varied role, working in a busy recycling site and you will need to be comfortable working under pressure and able to multi task!
Key Skills :
- Previous experience working within the waste or metals recycling sector is desirable.
- Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel etc.) and the ability to learn new processes
- Good numeracy and literacy skills essential
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience using a weighbridge would be an advantage
- Previous experience supervising a team
