Are you a semi senior accountant / bookkeeper looking for a role with great opportunities for progression within a well-established practice?
We are looking for a semi senior accountant / bookkeeper for a friendly, local and highly successful busy Accountancy Practice - offering flexible working patterns and great environments with the opportunity to progress.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for client bookkeeping - including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations.
The Role of semi senior accountant / bookkeeper
- Supporting a variety of clients from sole traders to limited companies and partnerships with general bookkeeping
- VAT Preparation and submittal
- CIS Preparation and submittal
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
- Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month
- General administrative duties around the office, responding to emails and answering the phone
Skills and Experience required for the role of Practice Accountant -
- At least 2 years of experience working in accounting , or a related field is expected
- AAT Level Qualified and ideally studying towards ACCA or similar qualification
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Experience of CIS and VAT Preparation
- Possessing great communication skills both written and spoken
- Willing to work in an office full time
