Employee Relations Manager duties:

As an Employee Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Employee Relations Advisor and ensuring effective management of employee relations matters within the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the company by fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Employee Relations Manager responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Employee Relations Advisor to manage and resolve employee relations issues, such as grievances, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into complex employee relations cases and make recommendations for appropriate actions or resolutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote positive employee relations and a harmonious work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with employment laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and proactively address potential employee relations challenges.
  • Analyse employee relations trends and provide insights to management, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to employee relations, ensuring managers and employees have the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate employee relations records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure seamless integration of employee relations practices with broader HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar Employee Relations Manager or Employee Relations Advisor role, handling complex employee relations cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to employee relations.
  • Excellent understanding of disciplinary procedures, grievances, and performance management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is preferred, although candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
