Event Manager Fixed Term Contract

This is a replacement role due to someone leaving the FTC before the completion date of 31st March 2025.

This role will report to the Campaign Lead and be part of the wider Event Manager team managing online and in-person events.

Event Manager Responsibilities

The Event Manager will be responsible for:

Working with colleagues to design and deliver events that will achieve business and client objectives and managing end to end event processes independently

Ensuring a high-quality experience from pre-event to post-event for all attendees

Collaborating across the business and setting event objectives to measure success

Liaising with Contractors and managing budgets

Gathering knowledge about all events to make continual improvements

Event Manager Experience

To be successful in this role you must have experience of leading and managing an event from end to end for in-person, online and hybrid events such as seminars and workshops for stakeholders across industry, academia and government. You must have experience of B2B corporate events management ranging from small to significant in event size. You will be advising the business unit/ team on logistics of the event, sourcing speakers, setting the most effective format etc. (Event requests are sent in via a centralised function from the teams and then allocated to Event Managers). Although you will be part of an Events Team, you must have experience of managing an event yourself with no support as this will be required and you must have experience of managing multiple projects at any one time. This will require excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You must be a collaborative team player, commercial to ensure ROI for each event and quality-focused.

Location

This role offers flexible and hybrid working although the office is in South Oxfordshire.

This role is full-time, and a Fixed-Term contract until the end of March 2025.
