Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for a Manual Turner/Machinist on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Manual Machinist to join an established North-East Business who invest in their employees and have a bright future ahead.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Identifying and selecting correct tooling and tips for the jobs.
- Working within a multi skilled team producing highly technical components to strict industry quality standards and accreditation's.
- Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
- Flexible approach to tasks.
- Adhere to all QHSE practices.
- Meeting the needs of customers, ensuring that each product or service is delivered cost-effectively, speedily and to the highest quality.
- Provide support to all members of staff to aid in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
- Liaise with your Team Leader or Manager to resolve any persistent or unresolved problems encountered.
- Report immediately to your Manager with any Health & Safety regulations which you think may be potentially breached.
- Set a good example when supporting management and implementing change.
- Provide any feedback with your views, ideas, improvements, and concerns to the Management Team.
The Person we are looking for
- Time served Engineer/Machinist/Toolmaker with a proven track record in the relevant industry equipment with experience.
- Experienced in manual machining operations mainly on Colchester lathes including internal/external screw cutting.
- The ability to read and work to engineering drawings.
- The ability to use measuring equipment such as vernier callipers, internal/external micrometres.
