Field Service Engineer UPS

As a UPS Field Service Engineer, you will be pivotal in providing expert maintenance, installation, and repair services for uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems. Focused on the M25 and M4 corridors, this role involves regular travel to client sites, requiring a proactive and customer-centric approach to ensure system reliability and performance.

Description

  • Perform start-ups, routine maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs of UPS systems.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies, ensuring a high standard of work and compliance.
  • Manage and document service tasks, aiming for a minimum 90% completion rate for planned maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying sales opportunities and contributing to

business growth.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, maintaining continuous coordination with Call Control and

management.

Profile

  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical qualification or recognised Electrical

apprenticeship.

  • At least 2 years of field service experience, specifically with UPS systems or related power management

equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability in power electronics, DC power supplies, and medium voltage applications.
  • Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or power analyzers in the context of

power electronics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong administrative skills.
  • Clean driving licence and flexibility for regional travel, predominantly along the M25 and M4 corridors.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in avionics engineering, electronic engineering with IT integration, or similar technical fields.
  • Previous experience in training or mentoring roles, particularly in a technical service environment
