Title: University Access Officer

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay: £23,400 (£14,040) per annum

Duration: 3 days per week, Fixed Term, until August 2025 with potential of extension.

Reed - Further Education are seeking a University Access Officer to support students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities.

What's the day-to-day responsibilities of a University Access Officer?

  • Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
  • Match students with volunteer tutors
  • Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
  • Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
  • Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
  • Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
  • Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Previous experience working with post-16 students
  • Previous experience assisting students with UCAS applications
  • Able to deliver projects and manage administration accurately
  • Able to communicate and influence with impact at all levels
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
