This Project Manager role will play an integral part in overseeing the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects. Specifically, this position focuses on managing London Underground projects for a sub-contractor. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specified standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for tendered projects, identifying and mitigating potential risks to project success and profitability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with design consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to assess project feasibility and manage project delivery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that projects meet legal and quality standards, including compliance with London Underground requirements.
  • Communication: Draft regular progress reports and participate in internal and external project meetings.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in reading drawings and technical documents related to civil engineering projects.
  • Experience: Previous background in civil engineering and familiarity with London Underground network projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Estimating experience in the construction industry, ideally with a sub-contracting background.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
