Exams & Cover Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Exams & Cover Manager to join this dynamic secondary school. The Exams & Cover Manager will be responsible for overseeing examination processes and managing staff cover arrangements, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring the smooth operation of exams, and managing resource allocation efficiently.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive exam schedules and staff cover plans.
  • Ensure all examination processes comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with teaching and administrative staff to organize exam invigilation.
  • Monitor and adjust cover arrangements to address staffing needs and emergencies.
  • Communicate examination and cover details to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Maintain accurate records of examinations and cover assignments.

The successful Exams & Cover Manager will be educated to GCSE Level, a higher level in education or management is desirable. Experience of working in a school is essential for this role and a good understanding of MS Office coupled with an intermediate (or above) level of Excel proficiency.

You can demonstrate leading and managing people in multi disciplinary teams, can think on your feet and brings solutions easily.

This is a term time only role plus five weeks including two weeks of the summer for results.

Hours of work 7am - 3pm, 35 hours per week.
