A new interim role has arisen working for a values lead people centric engineering business. The role is for a period of 3 month and is to work closely with the CFO to develop a suite of reporting and forecasting tools across the finance function for a key project.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. The main office base is in London City (an easy walk from Liverpool street)
Pay rate is £250-£350 a day PAYE dependent on experience
The role will be varied and will include enhancing current reporting as well as developing new solutions in some areas.
Duties and responsibilities will include;
- Development of a month end management accounts pack to include performance vs tender, project cash position with comparison to earned value
- Develop a suite of metrics to measure leading and lagging indicators by sector to enhance business intelligence
- Work with the commercial team to develop a tool to measure order book and backlog status
- Construct a forecasting process to allow the interrogation of project assumptions, P&L and cash, building up to a 3-year forecast by quarter with order book and projections
- Development of weekly reporting metrics
- Work with the commercial team to develop a business-wide early warning system, highlighting projects at risk with trend analysis and RAG status
Key skills experience and qualifications required.
- This role requires a qualified accountant, CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Advanced excel and data analysis skills
- Experience of SAP and process automation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data in an easily accessible format
- Proven experience of developing and implementing reporting and forecasting processes across a range of disciplines
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Experience of Finance Business Partnering would be an advantage
- Experience of creating Power BI Dashboard would also be an advantage
