THE ROLE

As a Grade 2 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Supporting children in class with reading, visual learning and messy play
  • Helping those who need extra support
  • Completing pupils record plans

THE CANDIDATE

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience or interest in working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
  • Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships

SALARY/ HOURS

Salary for a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £17,598.53 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust please visit our website.
