Consumer Additions has partnered with an industry-leading FMCG business that is entering an exciting stage of growth. They are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Manger to their expanding team.
The main focus of this role streamlining and automating systems while getting a chance to business partner as well.
The Role
- Act as the main point of contact for AP queries and build strong relationships with budget holders, vendors, and other business partners.
- Ensure a high level of service for internal and external customers, with a focus on timely and accurate processing and resolution of queries.
- Provide strong leadership to the AP team by setting clear goals, identifying training and development needs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and expenses, supporting the team on transactional processes when needed.
- Oversee the weekly payment run process and ensure accurate supplier account reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date supplier master data within SAGE.
- Resolve supplier queries promptly, and liaise with budget holders to review open POs, ensuring accurate reporting of liabilities.
- Provide regular KPI reporting on the performance of the AP function to stakeholders.
- Lead and manage process and system improvement projects within the AP function, focusing on automation and efficiency.
- Maximize the use of SAGE, Sicon, and Concur systems and explore potential system integrations to reduce manual work.
- Investigate and implement outsourced transactional support if needed.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Extensive experience with Purchase Order (PO) systems and a sound understanding of UK GAAP.
- Strong knowledge of SAGE 200 and Standard Costing, with experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
