£29,000 per annum/£14.50 per hour

Do you want to work within a luxury care home? We are currently looking for a Care Team Leader to join the dedicated team within the beautiful care home in Lancaster. This is a full time permanent opportunity working 8am to 8pm on a two week rolling rota.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

We are looking for a Team Leader who will work alongside the Deputy Manager and Home manager ensuring the safe running of the Home. You will be the first point of contact for the senior carers and care assistants monitoring and observing the care being provided, giving additional support, training and supervision when required. You will ensure the that detailed and effective handovers are completed and evidenced, including the handover of company property and medications. We are looking for a role model, who can build exceptional rapport with residents and their families.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working within a similar setting bringing a wealth of knowledge in dementia and elderly care whilst having you NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience of managing and leading a team as well as completing supervisions and appraisals
  • Have a clear understanding of medication including managing the receipt of medications into the home

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Leading and managing a team, including leading meetings, providing positive feedback to the staff and being a role model for the staff within the home
  • Managing rotas to ensure these are fully staffed and there is a good skill mix
  • To communicate effectively with the homes' management team, making sure that all concerns are dealt with quickly and promptly
