SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and thrives in a collaborative educational environment. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students with SEN by providing tailored support and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver targeted support to named children with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support students during classroom activities to encourage full participation and engagement.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience working in a primary educational setting.
- Proficient use of ICT to support learning, as well as familiarity with other equipment and technology.
- A solid understanding of child development and learning processes.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults and work effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
