Support Worker

  • Location: Wirral (Oxton, New Brighton, Wallasey)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: Sleep rate £60 per shift
  • Shift Pattern: 1 day on (24 hours), 2 days off

We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing care and support to children and young people in one of our three homes located in the Wirral area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide consistent and comprehensive care to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Support the development of social skills and independence in a home environment.
  • Engage with children and young people in various activities, both within the home and in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of activities and progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Be prepared to work a 24-hour shift pattern, followed by two days off.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a support role for children or young people is highly desirable, with a minimum 6 months.
  • Preferred Level 3 in Children's residential (do not worry if you do not have this as we will help you gain this)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build rapport with young people.
  • Resilience and patience to handle challenging situations.
  • Commitment to the care and well-being of young people
