Learning and Development Specialist

Are you an experienced interim Learning and Development professional with experience in designing, developing and delivering face-to-face and e-learning training?

My client who is the UK's independent public spending watchdog supports Parliament in holding the government to account and helps to improve public services through providing high-quality audits.

Located in the heart of London close to several excellent transport links, you will be part of a creative and dynamic Learning and Development team. This interim L&D position will allow the post holder to work from home up to 3-days per week.

The purpose of the job is to support the L&D team on a key L&D project over the next 2-months. The role is paying up to £300 per day and my client would like someone in post ASAP.

Some of the key responsibilities of this job include:

  • Working with stakeholders to identify training needs and scope various training interventions.
  • Conducting detailed storyboarding sessions to outline the structure and flow of training programs.
  • Designing and developing engaging and effective learning content for facilitator-led sessions, workshops, virtual training, and e-learning.
  • Designing evaluations/assessments to be included in the sessions developed.
  • Working closely with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance, particularly in finance and audit-related subjects.
  • Utilising various multimedia tools and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Ensuring all training materials meet high standards of quality and are aligned with our learning objectives and best practice in adult learning.

This interesting post will require the L&D professional to be confident in using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adapt) and virtual training platforms (e.g., MS Teams). As the project is working to a tight deadline, you will need to be able to have a flexible approach and have excellent attention to detail.
