We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Year 1 Teacher to join our school community in Coventry for the remainder of the academic year, starting after Christmas.
This is a full-time role with comprehensive teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, and student assessments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, organized teacher who can make a positive impact in our Year 1 classroom.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
UK teaching experience - essential
Minimum 2 years' experience teaching Year 1 or a similar age group
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
Safeguarding certificate completed within the last 12 months or willingness to complete before starting

The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and patience to the classroom, demonstrating a solid understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and a commitment to inspiring and nurturing young learners. You will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, tracking and assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to Year 1 students
Mark and assess work, providing constructive feedback
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom
Collaborate with other staff to promote student wellbeing and academic success
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
