We are seeking a HGV Technician to be based at our clients workshop in Okehampton. This is a temp-to-perm role, following a successful probation period.
Monday to Friday - 40hrs a week plus catch up Saturdays following a Bank Holiday. 07:00am start.
The Role
Your main duties will include:
- Maintaining a fleet of vehicles to include carry out service, maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
- Prepare and carry out MOT.
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practises are adhered to.
- All vehicles are pre-prepared/cleared before entering the workshops.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair)
- HGV Class 2 license and three years previous experience is beneficial.
- Intuitive diagnostic skills.
- Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
