ICT Site Support Engineer - Part Time

Posted by Science Museum Group.

Do you have experience or exposure to ICT desktop support within a MS Windows 7&10 environment? Are you able to troubleshoot issues effectively with a collaborative team?

About the role
We are looking for a part-time ICT Site Support Engineer to join us two days a week at the Science Museum on a fixed-term contract for one year.

Working within the ICT team, you will lead the support for the Science Museum's premier events space to ensure our clients receive the best possible experience.

As ICT Site Support Engineer, you will troubleshoot and translate desk and network issues, build new user laptops using Autopilot on Intune, configure network devices and work through projects assigned by ICT. You will also support events by performing pre-checks and configuration, monitoring during events, and post-event reconfigurations so that the space is ready for the next client. When not actively supporting the event space you will provide general 1st and 2nd line ICT support for the Science Museum site.

The part-time nature of this role will either cover Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday every week. This can be discussed in more detail at interview.

About you
As part-time ICT Site Support Engineer, you are customer-focused, organised and a good listener with an ability to problem-solve. With collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with your team, you will be eager to help your stakeholders to resolve any technical issues. You have great interpersonal skills and can flex your style to work with a range of different people. You will also have experience or exposure to basic network switch and troubleshooting, active directory and desktop support.

Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
