A GOOD secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join their inclusive and supportive team starting September 2024. This is a full-time role for an individual committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEND
- Developing and implementing effective strategies to promote student engagement and achievement
- Collaborating with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create a comprehensive support plan
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback and reports
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Supporting student's social and emotional development
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in SEND or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working with students with a range of SEND
- Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs
- A compassionate and patient approach to teaching
