Our client is looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Azure Data Integration Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is focused on connecting various pre-established data sources using Azure technologies to ensure seamless data integration, synchronisation, and accessibility.
Job Summary: The Microsoft Azure Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data integration solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, a deep understanding of Azure services, and the ability to work with a range of data sources to create a cohesive data environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration:

Connect and integrate various pre-existing data sources using Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and other relevant Azure services.

Design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data across multiple systems.
- Data Management:

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across integrated systems.

Monitor and troubleshoot data flows to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with the existing data team to ensure integration solutions meet business needs.

Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for data integration and management within the Azure ecosystem.
- Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed documentation for data integration processes, workflows, and configurations.

Develop and update technical documentation, including data mappings, process flows, and integration specifications.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimisations within the data integration framework.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in data integration, ETL processes, and data management.

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling.

Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.

Experience with various data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV) and data storage solutions.

Certifications:

Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
