A private company led by an enigmatic and passionate leadership team, as the company continues to grow, they have asked us to help recruit a Placements Office for them based in their Peterborough offices.
Your new role
This job involves managing the entire referral process from initial enquiry to admission, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness through collaboration with funding authorities, external placements, and internal management teams.
Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing daily responses to referral enquiries and placement-related questions, as well as coordinating placements with both internal and external agencies. You, with the support of your leadership team, will negotiate competitive rates with placing authorities, with a focus on securing the best possible fees for the company. Additionally, it is essential to maintain current Individual Placement Agreements (IPAs) for each individual under your care. Building strong working relationships with local authority placement officers, commissioners, social workers, and their teams is also a critical aspect of the position, facilitating smoother operations and better outcomes for residents.
Additionally, the position requires managing both emergency and planned placements, ensuring that risk assessment information is included with all referrals, and maintaining a placement data collection system. Effective communication with Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals regarding potential placements is crucial, as is the development of marketing strategies that may involve visiting local authorities and stakeholders. Building strong relationships with local authority placement officers, commissioners, and social workers is essential for successful operations.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client can only consider applicants who have previously worked in social care and dealt with referral management. You'll be a wizz at paperwork and have great communication skills both in writing and in person. Knowledge of Ofsted & CQC processes are going to be critical to your success because you'll get stuck in, right from the start of your new job.
