Salary starting at £31,000, Monday - Friday, 9-5.
We're looking for someone with great leadership skills, who can manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff, labourers, drivers and take ownership of the day-to-day operations.

This local Tyne and Wear business have a great reputation for offering a professional environmental and waste management service. They are looking for a Site Foreman to join them who can ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead a team of labourers and drivers, great leadership skills are a must!

For this role you will need to be a hands-on supervisor and strong leader who can oversee and coordinate daily site operations. Ideally, we need someone who can drive an excavator (up to 10 tonnes) and has some maintenance experience, like plant or machinery.

The Role:

  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team, including drivers, labourers, and equipment operators.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Enforce safety procedures and regulations to minimise workplace accidents and ensure the safe handling of waste materials.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to environmental and waste management regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of waste management equipment, such as trucks, compactors, and recycling machinery.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantities and types of collections.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of necessary materials and supplies.
  • Generate reports on daily operations, including collection, disposal, and recycling statistics.
  • Provide regular updates to management on team performance and operational challenges.
