Our client who has a growing fleet of HGV's, who provide transport solutions as well as warehousing facilities for needs around the UK, is looking for a transport administrator to help with the increasing workload.
This is a long term opportunity with full time hours but you will need to be self employed and invoice the company weekly for hours completed.
Previous work within a transport office is required and duties will include...
- Ensure efficient deliveries by dispatching and debriefing drivers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones and liaising with drivers and colleagues.
- Inputting bookings onto internal systems
- Managing email system to make sure the relevant person is tagged to emails
- Be a master problem-solver, investigating and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for collections both in paper form and online
- Accurately coordinate the transport operation to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and any demurrage is captured on internals systems
- Ensuring drivers hand in correctly completed and signed paperwork in a timely fashion
- Answering the telephone
Experience / Skills required
- Have previous transport administrative experience and a "can-do" attitude.
- VBS booking experience
- Possess excellent communication skills across all mediums (written, phone, and computer).
- Have a keen eye for detail and strong data input skills
- To work with the team on admin to ensure smooth transport administration is delivered.
- Provide a high level of customer service to external & internal customers
- High level of attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work.

Monday to Friday
9am – 5pm
Renumeration
Self employed hourly rate open to discussion depending on experience.
