Food Service Manager
Contract: Permanent, full time (normally, no Sunday working)
Salary: £28,759 per annum (pay award pending)

The catering department at Newnham College is seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent Food Service Manager to join the busy front of house team. Working 5 days a week which will include alternate Saturdays (when there will be a day off in the week). Flexibility is expected and normally, there is no requirement to work on Sundays.
This represents an excellent opportunity to join a team of professionals and use your experience of working on a range of catering functions including formal dinners, garden parties, conference functions and events, to support the provision of an excellent catering service at the College. This post would suit a smart, reliable individual with excellent customer service experience and an NVQ qualification or equivalent in Food Service, who is looking for the next step of their career in hospitality and food services.
The annual salary is paid at point 33 on the University single salary spine, currently £28,759 p.a. Working full time hours which average 37.5 hours per week over a 2-week rota, flexibility is a requirement for evening work and the need to cover colleagues' sickness absence or holiday. As well as the opportunity to grow and develop on a professional level the College also offers a range of employee benefits including 33 days a year holiday, (inclusive of bank holidays), free lunches and parking when available, use of the College gym (when it's open) and the post is pensionable under the College's attractive contributory pension scheme with a current employer contribution rate of 14.5%.
