Location: Birmingham City Centre

Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid in office 2 days a week

Start date: August - November 2024

The role:

We are looking for a driven and talented performance marketer with proven experience in optimising digital paid channels to join this successful ecommerce business. The role involves managing the businesses media agency's performance across SEO, affiliates, PPC, and digital PR as well as being hands on in all these areas. It also requires daily monitoring and optimisation, so being comfortable with digital platforms is essential. The digital channels under management include PMAX, YouTube, display, PPC, advertorials, affiliates, digital PR, and SEO.

Requirements:

  • Regularly analyse platform data and GA4 metrics, including conversion rates, acquisition costs, and spending against targets, to identify areas for improvement and suggest adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the digital media agency to monitor performance and guide strategic decisions, ensuring the adoption of new technologies, beta tools, and AI testing.
  • Supervise and recommend enhancements for campaigns, leveraging the full range of available tools and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across eCommerce, analytics, technology, and brand teams, utilising insights from third-party agencies or media partners to drive acquisition growth.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of performance channels in partnership with the digital agency, ensuring effective execution.
  • Suggest improvements to landing pages, creative assets, and ad copy, and communicate statistically significant test results to the business.
  • Track and analyse competitor activity in performance channels, devising creative strategies to counter competitor tactics, particularly in paid search.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements, adjusting strategies as needed.

Candidate criteria:

  • Actively collaborate with the digital media agency to enhance performance and manage strategic channel planning, ensuring we stay ahead by adopting the latest technologies, beta tools, and AI innovations.
  • Oversee campaign effectiveness, proposing improvements by leveraging a wide array of available tools and techniques.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across eCommerce, analytics, technology, and brand teams, utilising data and insights from third-party agencies or media partners to drive growth.
  • Take charge of the day-to-day management of performance channels in partnership with the digital agency, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
  • Recommend updates to landing pages, creative content, and ad copy, and communicate significant test results to inform business decisions.
  • Keep a close watch on competitor activities in performance channels, devising innovative strategies to counteract their tactics, particularly in paid search.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the industry and technology, adapting strategies as needed.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Google Ads, SA360, Display 360, YouTube, affiliate platforms, SEO tools, and GA4.
