Deputy Manager - Children's Home

- Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday with sleep-in shifts if required)
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a Children's Home, who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and at least 1 year of experience in children's residential care.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Home Manager in the operational management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for the children.
- Assist in leading a team of care professionals, providing supervision, guidance, and training as needed.
- Be actively involved in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the individual needs of the children.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in children's residential care.
- Participate in the on-call rota and undertake sleep-in shifts as required, providing overnight support and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and homely environment for the children to live and thrive in.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, specifically for children and young people.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a children's residential setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of the needs of children in care and the ability to respond to those needs effectively.
- Knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to children's homes.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts as required.
