Accounts Assistant

Your new company
This innovative engineering company based in the Stockport area is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
Purchase ledger

  • Match and process purchase invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Prepare Supplier payment list
  • Liaise with suppliers to answer queries
  • Set up new suppliers

Sales Ledger

  • Raise sales orders and send out sales invoices
  • Credit control

Other duties

  • Manage petty cash
  • Process expenses
  • Reconciliation of credit card statement
  • Book travel and accommodation
  • Answer phones
  • Greet visitors

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have strong communication skills with a friendly/enthusiastic manner and the ability to get involved with all tasks to be a real team player. If you have finance experience in a similar role, this will be highly advantageous to your application.
