HR Advisor, Carlisle, Up to £34,000, Full Time, Site based 5 days a week

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a busy, fast paced HR team for our client based in Carlisle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to force your HR career and learn from a highly talented and qualified HR professionals. This client operates in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing industry. For this reason you will need to be robust, flexible and ready for a challenge!

The position has been created as a result of a recent promotion within the HR team. The client prefers to promote from within and encourages learning and development to help employees achieve their personal career goals. As a critical member of the HR team, you will collaborate closely with the HR Business Partners to provide crucial support to team leaders across the organisation offering HR advice and guidance on various employee relations matters.

A Typical Day

You will spend significant time on-site (as this is a full time, fully site based role) immersing yourself within the operational teams to gain insights into their operations, challenges, and needs. Your role will entail ensuring managers are well-equipped to handle issues such as performance management, absence, and grievances, while promoting best practices.

Given the ongoing evolution within the team, you will actively participate in projects aimed at enhancing and modernising HR policies, processes, and procedures. Additionally, you will contribute to initiatives focused on internal communications, employee engagement, and staff well-being.

Is this right for you?

We are keen to hear from candidates with prior experience as an HR Advisor or similar role. However, we are also open to individuals with some experience in HR at a lower level or perhaps have experienced HR as part of a line management role who are eager to learn and grow and progress their career in this area. Training and support from the experienced HR team will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Our client welcomes applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds who are eager to learn and are highly adaptable. Candidates will ideally hold a CIPD qualification or be working towards it, or willing to begin study. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of managing an employee relations caseload and hold up-to-date knowledge of HR legislation.
