Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description:
Are you a mechanically inclined individual with experience in automotive and hydraulic systems? We're seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join the team of our client, a leading material handling solutions provider based in Gateshead and serving the surrounding areas. In this role, you'll receive comprehensive training and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Maintenance Tasks: Collaborate with experienced technicians to perform scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor repairs on a variety of material handling equipment, focusing on automotive and hydraulic systems.
- Learn Fault Diagnosis: Shadow senior technicians to learn the process of diagnosing equipment faults, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure equipment reliability.
- Component Replacement: Under supervision, assist in the replacement of automotive and hydraulic components, gaining practical experience in servicing and repairing these critical systems.
- Support Installation Projects: Provide assistance with equipment installation and assembly projects, contributing to the alignment, calibration, and testing of automotive and hydraulic systems.
- Documentation Support: Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including documenting work performed, parts used, and equipment status updates related to automotive and hydraulic systems.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year (commensurate with experience)
