I am supporting my client, who is looking for a driven Manager who is focused on long-term positive outcomes for the construction sector. As the Sustainability Manager, you will focus primarily on the environmental aspect of sustainability and will act as a deputy for the head of function, supporting the business to achieve ambitious environmental performance targets.
You will:
- Lead the development & implementation of sustainable strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations & industry standards.
- Develop & maintain relationships with government agencies.
- Communicate the business sustainability performance & goals to external stakeholders, clients and the general public.
- Provide guidance & training to all company employees.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance is met.
- Continue to elevate & improve the company sustainability performance.
Qualifications required:
- Degree in environmental science, sustainability or related field.
- Experience in sustainability management.
- An excellent understanding of the current UK laws & regulations.
- Experience working for a main contractor.
- Excellent analytical & problem solving skills.
- Excellent leader.
