Job Description

I am seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the Large Drives Applications Sales efforts across the UK & Ireland region. You will be responsible for developing and managing sales in designated accounts while proactively exploring new opportunities related to variable speed drives, motors, and their associated services.

Key Responsibilities...

Sales Development: Drive sales and business development efforts in areas such as:

  • Rotating machinery applications (pumps, fans, compressors)
  • Medium voltage variable speed drives and high voltage motor sales
  • Variable speed energy-saving retrofits
  • Low voltage drive systems and low voltage motors
  • Service sales, lifecycle upgrades, spare parts, and service contracts

Target Achievement:

  • Obtain annual order intake targets.
  • Conduct regular customer visits for face-to-face interactions.

Sales Strategy Ownership:

  • Manage the sales process and strategy for assigned customer accounts.
  • Identify sales opportunities within our product and services portfolio.
  • Generate and assess sales leads and new business prospects.

Market Analysis:

- Evaluate market pricing and competition for opportunities.

Contract Negotiation:

- Successfully negotiate customer contracts to enhance order entry and profitability.

Reporting & CRM Management:

- Provide regular updates on order intake, forecast sales, and maintain the sales opportunity pipeline using CRM tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: External sales experience with a focus on rotating machinery applications (pumps, fans, compressors) or relevant technical background in electrical or mechanical sales.

Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships.

Work Environment
