Job Title: Senior Digital Solutions Engineer
Location: Bromley, Kent (flexible hybrid, up to 2 days remote post-training)
Remuneration: Up to £65,000 per year
Contract Details: Full-time, Permanent
Our client, a leading organisation in the Financial Services industry, is hiring a Senior Digital Solutions Engineer to join their Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the development and maintenance of customer-facing portals, internal systems, core administration platforms, and analytics. Working closely with the IT teams, you will provide technical and functional support for business-critical applications.
As a Senior Digital Solutions Engineer, you will handle incidents and requests, ensuring they are prioritised according to business needs. You will also contribute to the achievement of IT targets and strive for customer satisfaction. This role will encompass end-to-end optimisation of systems, including SQL Server database administration and T-SQL development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee SQL Server database performance and administration to ensure optimal functionality.
- Design and implement views, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.
- Effectively triage and manage 2nd and 3rd line incidents for key applications and messaging/APIs.
- Collaborate in post-incident and change implementation reviews.
- Engage with external software suppliers and internal specialist teams to resolve any issues.
- Develop and deploy code, contribute to DevOps initiatives, and automate processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA or systems developer.
- Advanced skills in SQL Server, SSIS, and data analytics.
- Hands-on experience with development and deployment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
- Experience building APIs and RESTful services is a plus.
