The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining various BI systems and technologies that enable data-driven decision making and insights.

You will work with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver scalable and robust solutions.

Description

The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Leading the development and implementation of data strategies and processes.
  • Supporting the wide data team,
  • Liaising with stakeholders to identify data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity across all platforms.
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Driving innovation in data usage within the company.

Profile

A successful Lead Data Engineer will be able to demonstrate knowledge in:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
  • Expertise in data manipulation and analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving and the ability to drive innovation.#

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Platform I.E Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Warehouse, DataBricks etc.
  • Data modelling I.E Inmon/Kimball/Data Vault etc.
  • Prior exposure to working with Data warehouse, data lakes, delta lakes etc.

In addition to a competitive base salary, ranging from £60,000 to £65,000 pa, we can also offer:
