Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work with students aged 11-19 with special learning needs and disabilities in a specialist setting.
- Assist teachers and caregivers in achieving academic goals.
- Engage students with activities that support creativity and imagination.
- Support students to ensure comprehension of lessons.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, caregivers, and parents to implement positive behavior strategies and address student issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN students or similar transferable experience.
- Patient, passionate, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage students with challenging behavior.
- Confidence, punctuality, and eagerness.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (assistance available through Randstad if needed).
