Test Engineer

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your test engineering capability in a role focused on new and existing products? You will ultimately be testing the design performance, and you will be inputting into the design of high-tech equipment used in scientific research.
As part of an SME, your role will be flexible and working closely with lots of different departments as part of the new production development team. You'll also get to build conceptual test equipment and prototypes for development testing purposes.
The Test Engineer will work closely with the R&D and Production Engineering teams. You will also be responsible for the following:
- Product performance specification
- Conducting product servicing and repair on faulty units
- Maintain product assembly and test procedures, and being involved in the creation of new and improved processes
The Candidate
The successful Test Engineer will have:
- A test engineering background in electro-mechanical or opto-electronics;
- A degree in electronics, optoelectronics or in a related technical field;
- Ability to conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting activities;
- Willingness to get hands-on in all areas to solve problems and ensure a high standard of product quality.
