The Thriplow Group is a leading company in the field of highway maintenance plant hire, dedicated to providing quality services to all our clients. With a strong commitment to excellence, we have seized the opportunity to expand and become a UK leader in specialist plant hire. We are currently seeking a talented IT Administrator or IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the CEO and providing 1st and 2nd support for IT Infrastructure including applications, mobile devices, IT security and hardware. Due to the collaborative nature of this role, all work must be performed on-site at our head office in Duxford. Remote work options are not available.
Day to day duties will include:
- Advising the CEO about network security and best practices for computer usage ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
- Application development.
- Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet necessary demands.
- Assisting with network administration tasks.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Acting as a first point of call of staff for IT problems.
- Oversee the distribution of equipment, including phones and tablets, to all staff members.
- Arrange and manage contracts for all equipment procurement and maintenance.
- Retrieve hardware that is no longer in use or has been damaged.
- Investigate any misuse of devices, including data breaches or inappropriate usage.
Requirements:
- Previous IT support experience including App development, IT security, network, desktop, phones, windows 10 & dynamics 365.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN structure and protocols.
- Competency with Windows / IOS operating systems, dynamics 365 and MS Office suite.
