Customer Interaction - Commerce Strategy & Proposition Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience developing commerce strategies and propositions to join our dynamic team as a Strategy Specialist operating within the Global Customer Interaction Strategy department from our Tamworth office in the UK.

This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop within the business and play a key part in shaping the future of ALDI globally. Your role will be to support the Global Business Coordination (GBC) Department with defining the future ALDI Customer Interaction model by implementing the commerce strategy and evaluating new commerce and online initiatives. The role will also involve developing business cases for future initiatives, as well as setting and achieving OKRs within your area.

Your role will be to support the development of commerce strategies through to implementation, evaluating new and existing propositions to enable the global strategy and helping our national businesses deliver them. You will leverage subject matter expertise to build business cases for future initiatives and define clear objectives and key results to set the direction and measure success. You will have strong networking and presentations skills that will be required to work with global stakeholders at a Director level to drive and implement change.

Reporting into the Strategy & Proposition Manager, you will act as a custodian of the Customer Interaction Business Strategy team and collaborate with the Research team to proactively use market insight and commercial data to develop propositions. You will be responsible for prioritising initiatives and roadmaps as well as communicating the strategy to stakeholders across ALDI South countries, therefore good networking and presentation skills are critical.

Although the role is UK based your primary focus is global and some travel on demand is expected to support projects, or upon request of the Strategy Manager. All travel, accommodation and food expenses will be paid for.

Your New Role:

  • Development of Customer Interaction business cases (incl. financial and non-financial aspects in alignment with countries and relevant international stakeholders)
  • Support in defining the future ALDI business model and new commerce (eFood, Digital Services, online Non-Food) initiatives
  • Input into the strategic vision / roadmap based on prioritised initiatives working with all ALDI South countries
  • Set business targets for global strategies and new initiatives to help ALDI achieve its digital and business aspirations
  • Proactively use commercial data provided by the Research team in the development of propositions and business cases
  • Communicate strategies to various stakeholders across ALDI south countries and support them with its delivery
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their specific requirements and address any data-related strategic enquiries
  • Follow established governance frameworks to gain consensus on prioritisation of customer initiatives
  • Support countries in the development and tracking of ‘Launch & Learn' trials

About You:

  • Experience supporting the implementation of a strategy and resulting actions
  • Experience working on the continual development and evaluation of a strategy
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to drive topics forward
  • Ability to multi-task on various projects
  • Working in team environments – being a team player
  • Working with ambiguity and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Ownership and maintenance of strategic documentation that will be discussed and used by senior stakeholders
  • Creation or ongoing development of business strategies
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and high growth environment, within ecommerce/retail/grocery/tech
  • Regular communication with key business users
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to quickly understand new software
