Teaching Assistant PT

Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs. This part-time role involves working mornings only, with the potential to transition to a full-time position after several months. The position starts as soon as possible and continues until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child in EYFS with special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the child's development.
  • Monitor and report on the child's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with young children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the child's evolving needs and educational goals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is desirable.
