We have a fantastic opportunity at Cotswold Seeds for a Warehouse Operative (possibility of becoming permanent) to join our growing team in Moreton-in-Marsh during the busy spring and summer period.

  • Fixed term (August– October) with the possibility of a permanent position
  • Full time role
  • £11.50 per hour 18+ / £8.50 per hour under 18
  • Access to own transport is essential due to poor transport links

Cotswold Seeds is an independent family-run company, based in Moreton-in-Marsh, that now works with over 18,000 farmers across the UK, supplying seeds for everything from green manures, cover crops and herbal leys to dual-purpose long-term leys and silage mixtures.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be on the frontline of our mixing and processing operation, responsible for ensuring that seed orders are mixed and packed for delivery in a timely manner. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

Key responsibilities:

In your role, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team in an excellent working environment. You will undertake the following duties:

  • Daily processing of seed mixtures through the mixing plant
  • Picking orders for mixing as they are assigned by the Production Manager
  • Packing, weighing, sealing and labelling bags accurately
  • Stacking pallets for collection by courier or delivered by van
  • Wrapping of pallets and accurate labelling before dispatch
  • Keeping warehouse tidy and free from rubbish
  • Aiding with packing and delivery of logs (September/October)
  • Full training will be provided.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30kg, unaided
  • Ability to work longer shifts in busy periods
  • Ideally hold a valid driving license
  • Fluency in English
  • Good mental arithmetic skills
  • Forklift driving experience is desirable but not essential.
