I am currently recruiting for a Category Manager who will manage a small team. This role involves developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the optimal product mix to meet customer needs and business goals.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company objectives to maximize sales and profitability.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Manage the product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategy for the category.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible cost, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to execute product launches and promotions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Track and report on category performance, including sales, margin, and market share.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, BI tools, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
